Live In Florida And Looking For Work? Amazon Again Hiring Work-from-home Associates

While a majority of the country is focused on its Fourth of July plans, Amazon officials are making holiday plans of their own.
Looking ahead to the onslaught of holiday shopping that soon will begin, the online giant is hiring a bevy of full-time work-from-home seasonal customer service associates.
One of the requisites: A Florida residence.
Amazon customer service associates are responsible for answering questions and helping resolve customer concerns over the phone and through the company's virtual contact center.
Seasonal associates earn $10 per hour, including paid training. Positions are full-time and hourly, with opportunities to work up to 60 hours per week during the peak season of November through January.
Amazon officials said seasonal employees can remain with the company for up to six months, depending on needs, and there also could be opportunities for long-term employment.
Shifts will vary, but there are opportunities for day, night and weekend positions. Officials said they would work with students to accommodate their schedules.

To be considered, applicants must:

  • Live in a specific list of 35 states, of which Florida is one;
  • Have a high school diploma or GED;
  • Be fluent in English;
  • Be comfortable with a computer and have instant messaging skills;
  • Be able to complete I-9 work authorization forms in person.

  • Amazon’s continued growth – the company will soon have 10 fulfillment centers across the Sunshine State – has allowed it to grow its workforce.
    Amazon recently hired more than 5,000 home-based part-time workers as part of its virtual customer service program. In addition, Amazon is creating more than 25,000 part-time positions during the next year at its fulfillment centers – including the one in Ruskin in southern Hillsborough County – where employees sort and consolidate packages. That’s on top of the more than 100,000 full-time, full-benefit jobs the company has vowed to create in the U.S. before the end of 2018.
